Responder® NET
...it's not just nurse-call anymore

Responder® NET is a software package that enhances the Responder IV Nurse-Call System by taking all the information collected by the nurse-call system (wireless extensions, staff locations, patient-to-staff assignments, etc.) and allows that information to flow throughout your facility.

Staff Scheduling

Staff Log-on/Log-off

Staff Scheduling:

  • Since Responder NET takes all the "non life-safety" functions of the nurse-call system and places them on your facilities LAN/WAN, you can make patient-to-staff assignments from any LAN/WAN connected computer. This eliminates the need to go to the nursing station to make staff assignments, and allows charge nursing staff quickly enter staff assignments from one computer screen. You can even pre-assign staff for the next shift, making the staff log-on process that much quicker.

  • Best of all, every patient-to-staff assignment is held in the server's database, making it accessible not only to your staff to print from any LAN/WAN connected computer, but for your Joint Commission required records.

Staff Log-on and Log-off

  • Staff have the ability to use bar-codes to log-on or log-off from the system. If the patient-to-staff assignment has been completed by the charge nurse, then the staff member simply needs to scan the bar-code located on their ID badge and the bar-code on each of the wireless devices. The system automatically knows which extensions they have and that they are on duty. This eliminates common errors like entering the wrong extensions.

  • These bar-code readers can be setup on any LAN/WAN connected device with a USB port. They can be located in an office, break-room, or anywhere else the facility. This eliminate the congestion at the nurses' station during shift change.

  • If the wireless device which has been chosen by the nurse is already assigned to another staff member, the screen will ask you if you want to take over the device, then removing it from the previous staff members profile. This eliminate the calls from rooms that are not assigned to the caregiver, by verifying the device is only assigned to one person.

  • Log-off by simply scanning the bar-code on the staff members ID badge, or set a predetermined time in the system, and the system will automatically log-off the staff member, and removing their room coverage.

  • Don't like the idea of using bar-code readers, that's okay - because it's not required. There is a separate screen to allow staff to log-on/off manually from any LAN/WAN connected PC, or from any touch screen console in the facility.

Responder NET has many more applications as well, such as bed management and a patient whiteboard. Call 865-938-2088 for further information!
